Nvidia RTX 2080TI Still Can’t Play Watch Dogs Legion Perfectly

surprised to see an open world game like Watch Dogs Legion which did a preview using the NVIDIA RTX2080Ti but still couldn’t get maximum performance. Now imagine what you would need to run this in 4K/Ultra with RTX ON.

On the other hand, we shouldn’t really be surprised by the resulting performance. After all, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey can only run at 60fps at 1440p / Ultra on an RTX2080Ti.

As DigitalFoundry notes, Ubisoft has previewed the WD Legion at 1920×1080 with Ultra settings and Ray Tracing Reflections enabled. However, the framerate is locked at 30fps. DigitalFoundry couldn’t get a smooth gaming experience when setting the framerate at 60fps.

Watch Dogs Legion is one of the first Ubisoft games to support RTX ON effects. Ubisoft held a preview event where various media outlets had the opportunity to test the PC version by enabling its RTX reflection. However, it seems that NVIDIA’s most powerful GPU, the RTX2080Ti, can’t run games at a sad 60fps.
