After more than 7 years, PS Vita production has been officially discontinued by Sony

The PS Vita journey can be said to have officially ended after Sony announced the last two PS Vita series, the PCH-2000 ZA11 (black) and PCH-2000 ZA23 (aqua blue), stopped being produced. This was announced by Sony through the official Sony Playstation Japan page.

PS Vita is the successor to the PSP which launched for the first time on December 17 2011 in Japan and to this day is projected to have sold 16.1 million units since its release.

Sony itself has indeed provided a “code” since deciding to stop making games for the PS Vita in 2015 and no longer providing free PS Plus games, which was followed by stopping physical PS Vita games in 2023.

Until now, Sony has not planned to give birth to a successor to the PS Vita. Well… We no never know the future right? Hopefully Sony will give birth to a console handhelds others in the future.
